Think More.

TCLM RingsYou would think this is pretty straight forward. It’s not. This is about awareness. It’s about situational awareness. It’s about personal awareness. It’s about thinking what the consequences of a decision might do to you and to those around you. It means to think a few steps beyond the immediate outcome. It means to think about how others might respond. It does not mean to base your decisions solely on any of this. These are just data points to collect so that you can make an informed decision. Think more is about taking into account all the factors that can affect a situation and then acting accordingly.

Interestingly enough, sometimes, the “think more” philosophy will actually mean to think less. It might lead you down a path that allows you to just be present. It might be that you just chill, relax, and let things go. It might be meditation, deep breathing, or any other way one can just be. Again, think more is about awareness. If you take the time to try and understand yourself and your surroundings, and you will be amazed at the world that opens up.

Care More.

Well, this one is pretty straight forward. It’s taking “Think More” a bit further. It's about kindness. It is purposefully caring for the well-being of others. It means trying to improve a situation, and if you can't, at least don't make it worse. It is about doing the right thing even when it’s difficult. It’s about acknowledging someone and saying hi to a stranger if you make eye contact. It’s about sympathy, empathy, and just smiling a bit more. Smiles are contagious, you know.

It’s about caring and respecting yourself enough to know you don’t know everything. After all, the most difficult thing in the world to do is admit when we’re wrong. It’s about placing yourself in someone else’s situation and understand where they are coming from. It is not about excusing their behavior. It’s about being happy instead of having to be correct. It’s about picking up a piece of trash, even if it’s not yours. If we all did these small things, what a huge difference it would make.

LIVE More.

Yes, this is the natural progression for “Think More” and “Care More”. This is about action. It's actively taking control of your life. This is you having your own opinion. It can be similar or even shared by others, but it needs to be based on your own thoughts. It’s about fighting complacency. It’s about walking through that strange and scary door because everything you want may just be on the other side. It’s about asking for that raise. It’s about starting that new business. It’s about knowing you deserve more and willing to fight for it. It’s knowing where you belong whether you’re alone or surrounded by strangers not just when you’re with family and friends.

You see, life places enough obstacles in our way, there’s no need to place any there ourselves. We “LIVE More” by going for it and not being afraid. We can enjoy the journey as well as the destination. Both are ever so important and for very different reasons. We need to embrace curiosity and the wonders of the universe. When we do, we will not just find what we want, but what we need.

Whether it's personally, professionally, or organizationally, incorporating this into your thought process can improve your current situation and lay the groundwork for a better future.
